Arribada Argos SMD Module
Engineering Sample Kit Pre-order
A very limited number of free engineering samples (full kits) are available for users wishing to test the SMD Module.
These kits contain the SMD Module, SMD Wing and an Adafruit Feather for a plug-and-play experience. They are pre-programmed and only need power and an antenna to be added.
We have made these available to help integrators test the performance of the SMD Module before it is released on general sale.

Stackable & Modular
Add an SMD Wing to seamlessly connect Feather boards such as the Adafruit Feather series to the Argos SMD module for streamlined testing and integration.
SMD Module
- Compact Design: 20x20x2mm with castellated edges for easy integration.
- Low Power: Only ~250mA for 26 dBm uplink (tested for LDA2, less with LDK).
- Different sleep mode available: NONE (3.8mA), SLEEP (1mA), STOP (2μA), STANDBY (450nA), SHUTDOWN (30nA).
- Flexibility: Can function as either an RF modem or a standalone MCU (power supply required).
- Kineis Compatibility: Fully compatible with KINEIS stack and KINEIS GUI; certifiedby Kineis/CNES for all modulation (LDA2, VLDA4, LDK).
SMD Wing
- Includes the SMD Module pre-soldered with the latest firmware pre-flashed.
- Feather-Compatible Design: Designed for seamless integration with Featherboards, enabling rapid prototyping.
- Streamlined Testing: Provides reliable Argos SMD connectivity for simplified satellite uplink development.
- Production-Ready: Designed to help developers transition fromprototyping to production with minimal changes.
SMD Full Kit
- Complete Kit: Plug-and-play straight of the box, designed for seamless integration with Feather boards, enabling rapid prototyping.
- Everything you need: The fully certified kit includes a pre-programed nrf52840 Feather board from Adafruit and supports the addition of other Wings for expanded functionality such as GNSS module or sensors.
- Easy development: Arduino code samples and a Zephyr environment enables flexible and straightforward project development.
- Expandable and Modular: Designed to help developers transition from prototyping to production with minimal changes.
