For the African Wild Dogs of BotswanA
IUCN Status | Endangered (Population decreasing)The dogs in the gallery below have volunteered to record their unique voices using a special acoustic recorder clipped to their collars. We’ll use the recordings they create to “teach” the recorder how to automatically detect panting, eating, drinking and many other unique acoustic signatures.
An acoustic collar will then be developed and used on African Wild Dogs in Botswana to better monitor their energetics (frequency of panting), health and access to food and water.
